What this site does
Grab downloads video and audio from public links. It runs yt-dlp on the server, fetches the file, hands it to you, and deletes it within 30 minutes. That is all it does. There is no account system, no saved library, and nothing stored long-term.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for what you download. Grab is a tool, not a license to pirate content. Only download material you have the right to save: your own uploads, Creative Commons content, or anything the copyright holder has made freely available.
Do not use this service to violate copyright law, circumvent DRM, or break any platform's terms of service. If you do, that is on you.
No guarantees
The site is provided as is. Downloads can fail, formats can change, and sites can block things. Availability and uptime are not guaranteed, and no particular link is guaranteed to work. I am not liable for anything that happens as a result of using this service.
Limits
- Maximum file size: 2 GB per download
- Files are deleted automatically after 30 minutes
- Rate limits apply to prevent abuse
- Access can be restricted or shut down at any time, for any reason
Privacy
Grab does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party scripts. There are no accounts and no signups.
Your download history is stored in your browser's local storage only. It never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time from the main page.
What the server sees
Standard web server logs are kept temporarily for debugging and abuse prevention. They contain:
- Your IP address
- The link you submitted for download
- Timestamps
- Basic request info such as browser and status code
Logs are not shared with anyone and are not used for profiling or marketing. They rotate automatically and are not stored indefinitely.
Third-party services
None. Fonts, styles and scripts are all served from this domain, so loading a page here does not tell any other company that you visited. Video thumbnails and the optional YouTube preview player are the one exception: those images and embeds load from the source platform, which can see that request.
Copyright and takedown requests
Grab does not host, store, or index any copyrighted content. It acts as a temporary processing tool. Downloaded files exist on the server for a maximum of 30 minutes before automatic deletion.
